DESIGNED BY FEW'S 2ND YEAR TO BRING FRESH TALENT TO LITTLE ROCK

LITTLE ROCK, AR, April 1, 2014 – Designers from all over the state of Arkansas will gather on Friday, August 22, 2014 to watch three selected graphic designers compete for a title and sweet prizes at Designed by Few, held in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Designed by Few is a fast paced break-off event of the two day conference, Made by Few. Gabe Couch, founder of Designed by Few, says, "This year's event will be even better than last year. We are currently looking for talented designers in Arkansas to compete in front of a live audience for the chance to win awesome prizes and bragging rights as this year's DxF Champion."

Three designers will be selected from submissions made via the event's website. Designers may submit their work on the event website and spectators can watch the chosen designers compete while learning techniques and sharing with others who are gathered to network. Light refreshments and music will be on hand. Tickets are included in the conference cost for Made by Few.

Designed by Few is a great event for artists, designers and creatives in Arkansas.  Couch says, "This isn't just a competition for us, this is about growing the community and exposing like-minded creatives to each other's techniques and experiences."

Last year’s event was a great success with designers from all over Arkansas and other states gathering to discuss the creative process and the competition. Jeremy Teff, the first ever DxF Champion, says, “Designed by Few was more than just a design competition for me. It was an opportunity to meet other creatives who share the same passion for design that I do. I had an amazing experience and met a ton of creative people that I would have probably never had the chance to otherwise.”

Brittany Hallmark, Creative Director at BBA Solutions was also among the competitors last year. Hallmark says, “Designed by Few was a completely unique and challenging experience. It was a great way to meet amazing designers, drink a few beers and really bring my best and most creative work to the table for a great cause – supporting a local non-profit business through design. Not to mention, the cheers from the audience made live designing in front of judges totally worth it. I can’t wait to be in that group this year, showing my love and support for an amazing event.”

Designers are now welcome to submit their application to compete in the 2014 event and can be done by visiting www.designedbyfew.com.
