The Week Ahead: IA Clients, ARK Challenge Firms at 1 Million Cups

October 5, 2014

The week ahead includes a stop at 1 Million Cups by Innovate Arkansas clients and current ARK Challenge teams My Color of Beauty and Acorn Hours.

Both startups are competing in the fourth installment of the ARK underway and running through mid-November in downtown Little Rock.

From the Arkansas Business/IA series of profiles on ARK teams, here's more on My Color of Beauty, and here's more on Acorn Hours. (Politapoll.com coming soon...)

And here's a look at the week ahead in the Arkansas startup ecosystem (it's a slow week as we prepare to welcome a wounded Bama to the Hill on Saturday), with thanks as always to Arkansas Startup Digest:

  • As noted above, the weekly 1 Million Cups at the Little Rock Chamber will feature My Color of Beauty and Acorn Hours, two of the impressive ARK Central teams. The action gets underway at 9 a.m. More here.
  • The good folks at ASBTDC on Friday will host "Small Business Forum: Ask the Experts" at the Fort Smith Public Library. The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. More here
  • On Sunday, the Central Arkansas IT pros will have an informal get-together at the Flying Saucer in the River Market. Starts at 6. More here.

Have a good week, yall. Let's get ready for Saturday and send the (low) Tide back home with back-to-back losses. #WPS
