A Look at the Top Kickstarter Innovations of 2014

The Arkansas Small Business & Technology Development Center, in its latest Lab2Launch blog, takes a look at the top Kickstarter innovations of 2014.

ASBTDC's Rebecca Norman delves into Innovation Daily Xconomy's list of the top 10 Kickstarter projects of the year.

Here's the top 5:

  • Coolest Cooler – The 60-quart cooler includes a blender, a waterproof Bluetooth speaker, USB charger, cutting board, and other features for a portable party. It received $13.28 million in support.
  • PonoMusic Player – The triangular-shaped portable music player is designed to play high-quality music files. It raised $6.2 million.
  • Micro 3D printer – An affordable and consumer-friendly 3D printer designed for beginner use right out of the box. It raised $3.4 million.
  • Sense – This device helps users track sleep behavior and raised $2.4 million.
  • Anova Precision Cooker – The device can be attached to a pot while food is paced in a plastic zip bag and set for desired time and temperature. The cooker works by circulating water around the pot, ensuring a consistent temperature throughout. It raised $1.8 million.
