AVC Hosting Governor's Cup 'After Event' on Wednesday
The Arkansas Venture Center will host an "after event" on Wednesday at the Little Rock Chamber following the 2014 DWR Governor's Cup awards luncheon.
The AVC event will run from 1-3 at the Chamber, located on East Markham just across Scott Street from the Statehouse Convention Center, which once again will host the luncheon.
The Governor's Cup awards luncheon will name business-plan winners from among 18 finalists representing six Arkansas colleges and universities.
In addition to networking and mentorship opportunities, the workshop will include an entrepreneurship panel featuring Bourbon & Boots and IA clients SUMOTEXT and Treatsie.
It's free, but register here. The event is aimed at Governor's Cup participants, but is open to any "student or entrepreneur who would like to better understand how to build something," according to AVC's Mike Steely.
"This will let students and entrepreneurs hear from current young companies about the success stories they are creating," he said.
