WriteGov, Noble Impact at 1MC on Wednesday
By Mark Carter
The popular Kauffman Foundation program 1 Million Cups will feature Little Rock startups Noble Impact and IA client WriteGov on Wednesday from the Little Rock Chamber.
1MC is among the new Arkansas Venture Center's many offerings. It rolls each week on Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. at the Chamber and aims to "engage, educate and connect entrepreneurs."
Startups at 1MC present for six minutes to an audience of mentors, advisers and peers and then field questions for another 20 minutes. It's a learning experience for all.
It's free and you can register here.
Here's more on the presenters from AVC's Jordan Carlisle:
- Noble Impact is a 501(c)3 organization focused on engaging K12 students at the intersection of public service and entrepreneurship. We serve as a bridge to connect the classroom to the community. Tweet them at @NobleImpact.
- WriteGov.com is a platform to write one or thousands of impactful letters to government representatives in minutes. Tweet them at @WriteGov.
The Little Rock launch of 1MC places the program alongside 15 other U.S. cities/metros: Kansas City; Des Moines, Iowa; Houston; St. Louis; Cedar Rapids/Iowa City, Iowa; Reno, Nev.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Denver; Chapel Hill/Research Triangle Park, N.C.; Georgetown, Del.; Loudon County, Va.; Orlando, Fla.; San Diego, Calif.; Bismarck/Mandan, N.D.; and St. Petersburg, Fla.
"1 Million Cups Little Rock is making creative collisions happen every week," Carlisle said. "This program is a key element to connecting entrepreneurs and has already shown to be a great way for people to connect with others that can help their businesses grow."
