Innovation Hub to Host Young Makers Camp Week of July 21

The Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub is hosting a young makers camp at its Launch Pad maker space the week of July 21.

Led by Launch Pad director Joel Gordon, the camp is designed for kids ages 8-12 and will introduce them to electronics, 3-D printing, programming, coding, laser cutting, Raspberry Pi computer, a young makers club and the Challenge Arkansas Robotics League (CARL).

The camp will run Monday through Friday, July 21-25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Cost is $400 for the week and campers will receive an Arduino micro-controller inventor's kit. 

The Launch Pad is located inside the Hub's Argenta Innovation Center at Broadway and Poplar in downtown North Little Rock. The center is undergoing renovations expected to be complete later this summer.
