Hub-UB Series Will Get Virtual with Reality This Week

September 9, 2014

The Hub-UB series from Joel Gordon of the Launch Pad maker space resumes this week, Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. from the Argenta Branch Library in downtown NLR.

The Launch Pad, of course, is the maker component to the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub's Argenta Innovation Center. Hub-UB is a series of free, local TED-like talks led by Gordon that are held the second Wednesday of each month.

Last month, Gordon addressed quadcopters and "benevolent technology."

Here's more on what to expect Wednesday from Joel:

I've got a young man, Alex Demskie, who got the Occulus Rift developers kit. I have been wanting to see this thing for a while, it should be fun. I also got hold of the Google Cardboard designs so I am going to try to get the lenses and make a couple of those as well. It will be our opportunity to get a little virtual with reality.
