Look for IA Client HD Nursing in Arkansas Business on Monday
Innovate Arkansas client firm HD Nursing will be the subject of Arkansas Business' monthly Innovate feature that'll run in its Oct. 6 issue out Monday.
HD Nursing represents an awesome story about two UAMS nurses who recognized a problem -- patient falls and their management -- and set out to do something about it.
Amy Hester (right) and Dees Davis researched patient falls and came up with a scale to help health-care facilities detect patient fall risk areas.
And they did so with UAMS behind them 100 percent. Their idea went through the awesome BioVentures incubator, and HD Nursing resulted.
The Hester Davis Scale now has expanded beyond Arkansas, and further big things are ahead for these Arkansas innovators.
