Association to showcase growing industry employing over 25,000 Arkansans

Little Rock, AR – The Arkansas Advanced Energy Association (AAEA) will host its second “Advanced Energy Day at the Legislature,” Tuesday, February 10 featuring advanced energy companies and technology exhibits in the Capitol Rotunda in the morning and afternoon and a policy luncheon.

The Arkansas Advanced Energy Foundation (AAEF) recently released an economic impact study that found over 770 advanced energy companies in Arkansas and counted more than 25,000 Arkansas workers in the advanced energy economy. AAEA invites legislators, staffers, government officials, business leaders, the public and the media to tour the Rotunda exhibits on Tuesday and learn more about this growing sector of Arkansas’s economy.

“In Arkansas and on a national scale, energy use has been declining in recent years, and there appears little question that energy efficiency and advanced energy technologies are largely responsible,” noted Steve Patterson, AAEA Executive Director. “Customers are saving energy costs, and there is an emerging advanced energy business sector that is growing faster than overall economies in most states, including Arkansas. We welcome the opportunity to showcase these business and technologies to our elected officials and show them how supporting the advanced energy sector creates jobs and helps Arkansas families.”

The 2015 Advanced Energy Day at the Legislature is presented by Siemens Industry, Inc. in partnership with Advanced Energy Economy. Exhibitors will include Centerpoint Energy, Clean Line Energy Partners, FutureFuel Chemical Company, Harrison Energy Partners, Hydro-Temp, McKinstry, MISO, Nat-G: CNG Solutions, NextGen Illumination, Performance Services, PicaSolar, Powers of Arkansas, Seal Energy Solutions, and the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith.
