ADFA Invests $5M in Noro-Moseley; Startup Junkie to Host InnovateHER

March 5, 2015

A sunny, snowy day in central Arkansas, anyway, has been a boon for kids, dogs and snowmen.

(Or so we hear. Also, it's really good packing snow. Again, that's the word on the street.)

And despite closed schools and empty offices across much of the state Thursday, things are still happening. Arkansas Business this morning reported on ADFA's latest investment in VC firm Noro-Moseley Partners of Atlanta and on a special event coming up hosted by Startup Junkie.

ADFA has invested $5 million in NMP's seventh fund. NMP's Arkansas activity -- including a $3.5M investment in IA's own Acumen Brands of Fayetteville -- has been increasing in recent years.

Here's more on ADFA's role in helping early-stage tech startups gain traction.

Meanwhile, Startup Junkie announced it will host an SBA competition designed to foster innovation with a focus on products and services for women. It's called InnovateHER, and it'll go down March 27 from Fayetteville.
