Lab2Launch Takes a Look at IA Client Phyzit

March 25, 2015

Rebecca Norman of the Arkansas Small Business & Technology Development Center takes a look at new Innovate Arkansas client firm Phyzit of Little Rock in the Lab2Launch blog.

Launched by Little Rock pediatric urologist Stephen Canon and his dad Mike Canon, a lawyer and former mayor of Midland, Texas, Phyzit is tackling transitional care management (TCM), the process of monitoring patient care for a period of 30 days after discharge from the hospital. The goal is to reduce hospital readmissions.

ASBTDC is an economic-development program for small businesses and entrepreneurs based at UALR but with offices at universities across the state. Along with IA, it's worked with Phyzit to help the company gain early traction.

Here's a sample of the post in the Lab2Launch blog:

According to the company, Phyzit TCM streamlines the transitional care management process through an intuitive interface to save time for office staff, reduce the workflow demands on primary care physicians, and increase revenue for their practices.

Patient benefits include direct communication with their own doctors and the ability to add family members or other caregivers to their health management plan.

Development occurred in stages, led by Phyzit team members Keith Moore, LJ Wilson, MS, and Stewart Whaley, JD working with Technosoft Solutions, Inc. A successful beta test was conducted in Dr. Brad Bibb’s Ash Flat office.

Full post here. Good stuff. Lots of momentum right now for Phyzit. More soon to come from Arkansas Business. Stay tuned...
