IA Client Angel Eye Featured in Arkansas Business

May 3, 2015

Innovate Arkansas client firm Angel Eye Camera Systems of Little Rock is the featured IA profile in this week's issue of Arkansas Business.

Angel Eye, a UAMS startup, has developed a camera system and platform that enables parents of premature babies in neonatal intensive care units to view their children 24/7.

It's really pretty cool.

Here's more from AB:

Angel Eye enables parents of preemies to “be there” even when they can’t be there in person. A high-resolution camera mounted above the incubator provides 24/7 coverage of the babies’ movements, and an audio link enables parents to talk to their babies. Or sing, hum, chant — really, just make a connection.

For parents already dealing with the emotional stress associated with having a preemie and then carrying the added burden of leaving their child behind, miles away and for days if not weeks at a time, Angel Eye can help them cope. It’s not a remedy, but certainly a salve.

Good stuff from another IA client applying some important innovation right where it's needed. Again, full story here.

Plus, the Angel Eye team led by CEO Steve Bethel offered up its five tips for startup success here.
