G60 Pitch Contest Schedules Another Fayetteville Stop

October 2, 2014

It's a ways down the road, but the G60 pitch contest will return to the city of its birth on Feb. 12.

G60 was conceived by IA adviser Jeff Amerine in Fayetteville and now is administered officially by IA "momma" Winrock International, and has played the city several times. Startup Junkie will again be handling the particulars.

The return is scheduled for Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. from Centerspace on the downtown square. More info here

Before then, though, Hot Springs is set to host its first G60 on Nov. 6 at 12 noon as part of the Hot Springs Business Fest at the Convention Center downtown.

That'll be fun. Nov. 6 is a Thursday, and what a great way to start off a potential long weekend. The Hogs are off that weekened and the Ouachita Mountain foliage will be kickin' it about then.

G60, of course, has been to cities all across Arkansas and even made two stops in northern Louisiana.

So, mark your calendars for Nov. 6 (Hot Springs) and Feb. 12 (Fayetteville). Amerine calls G60 a cross between American Idol and Shark Tank, and several IA client startups are G60 alum.

It's a great way to try and gain some early traction for your idea plus support the Arkansas startup ecosystem.
